DreamCode Interactive Refund Policy
Effective date: 25.08.2026
1. Purpose
This Refund Policy explains how refunds for products purchased through DreamCode Hub are handled.
This policy applies together with the DreamCode Interactive Terms of Service, DreamCode Hub Terms and Conditions and applicable consumer-protection law.
2. Paddle
DreamCode uses Paddle for payment processing.
For applicable transactions, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record.
Paddle may therefore handle:
- payment processing;
- transaction records;
- tax calculation and collection;
- refund processing;
- payment disputes;
- fraud prevention.
3. Our voluntary 10-minute refund policy
For eligible digital game purchases, DreamCode may provide a voluntary refund if you contact us within 10 minutes of first accessing or launching the game through DreamCode Hub or DreamCode Cloud, whichever occurs first.
The 10-minute period begins at the time the purchase is successfully completed.
This is a voluntary commercial refund policy provided by DreamCode.
It does not replace or reduce any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.
4. Eligibility for the voluntary refund
A voluntary ten-minute refund may be available where:
- the request is made within ten minutes;
- the transaction can be identified;
- the transaction was made legitimately;
- there is no evidence of fraud or refund abuse;
- the product is eligible for the voluntary refund.
DreamCode may consider the circumstances of the request.
5. Refund abuse
We may refuse a voluntary refund where there is reasonable evidence of:
- repeated refund abuse;
- fraudulent purchases;
- stolen payment methods;
- repeated chargebacks;
- manipulation of the refund system;
- attempts to obtain games without paying.
This does not remove any mandatory legal remedy.
6. Statutory consumer rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy removes mandatory rights provided by applicable law.
Depending on the contract and circumstances, consumers may have statutory rights concerning:
- withdrawal;
- defective digital content;
- non-conforming digital content;
- failure to supply;
- unavailable services;
- other consumer-law remedies.
Under EU consumer rules, the normal withdrawal framework for distance contracts is subject to specific rules for digital content supplied without a tangible medium. The withdrawal exception can apply where the consumer has given prior express consent to immediate performance, acknowledged the resulting loss of the withdrawal right, and the required confirmation has been provided. (EUR-Lex)
7. The 10-minute policy is not the legal withdrawal period
The 10-minute policy should not be interpreted as saying that all statutory withdrawal rights expire after ten minutes.
It is simply DreamCode's voluntary refund policy.
Where a statutory right applies, that right remains available for the period and under the conditions established by law.
8. Digital-content consent
Before immediate delivery of paid digital content where the statutory withdrawal framework requires it, DreamCode may ask you to positively confirm that:
- you request immediate delivery; and
- you understand that beginning performance may cause the statutory withdrawal right to be lost.
A general acceptance of these Terms is not intended to replace a separate express consent where the law requires one. EU guidance specifically states that positive action such as ticking a box may be required and that pre-ticked boxes or merely accepting general terms are insufficient. (EUR-Lex)
9. Defective or non-conforming games
If a game does not conform to the contract or applicable legal requirements, contact us even if the ten-minute voluntary refund period has expired.
Depending on the circumstances, applicable law may provide remedies such as correction, replacement, price reduction or termination/refund. (EUR-Lex)
10. Cloud-gaming services
If you purchase access to a DreamCode Cloud service, the applicable refund rights depend on the specific service, contract and applicable law.
Technical problems should be reported as soon as possible so that we can investigate them.
11. Refund method
Where a refund is approved, it will generally be returned through the payment method used for the original transaction, subject to the payment provider's procedures.
Paddle may handle the actual refund transaction.
12. Access after refund
When a refund is issued, DreamCode may revoke access to the refunded product.
You must stop using refunded digital content where required by applicable law.
EU digital-content rules expressly provide that after termination, consumers must refrain from using the digital content or making it available to third parties. (EUR-Lex)
13. Chargebacks
If you believe a transaction was made without your authorisation, contact Paddle or DreamCode as soon as possible.
Unauthorised transactions should not be falsely reported merely to obtain a refund.
14. How to request a refund
Contact:
hello@dreamcode-interactive.site
Include:
- the email address associated with the purchase;
- transaction/order information;
- game or product name;
- reason for the request.
You may also use the applicable Paddle customer-support or transaction tools associated with your purchase.
15. Refund decisions
We will evaluate requests in accordance with this policy, the applicable contract and applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
16. Changes
DreamCode may change this voluntary refund policy for future purchases.
Changes will not remove mandatory rights that already apply.
